EP Minerals Increases List Prices
July 8, 2010 - EP Minerals LLC of Reno, NV has announced that effective August 1, 2010 it will increase current list prices of its perlite and diatomite products to customers in Europe, Middle East, Africa, India, and Asia by between 3% and 5%. The company says the increase is necessary to offset dramatic and unexpected cost increases in ocean freight and logistics rates.
BASF Catalysts Raises Price for Activated Bleaching Clays
July 1, 2010 - BASF Catalysts LLC of Iselin, NJ has announced plans to raise its global price for activated bleaching clays by US$40 to US$65 per tonne. The increase is effective August 1, 2010 or as contracts allow.
BASF Corp Raises Kaolin Prices for Industrial Applications
July 1, 2010 - BASF Corp of Florham Park, NJ has announced that effective August 1, 2010, or as contracts permit, the company will increase list and off-list prices for hydrous pulverized kaolin sold in the Americas for industrial applications. The increase will be US$20/ton or US$30/ton depending on the grade.
Packaged Deicing Products Prices to Rise
June 18, 2010 - North American Salt Co of Overland Park, KS has announced an average price increase of US$6/ton on its packaged deicing products, including road salt and premium blends, in the U.S. The increase will be effective with all shipments on July 1, 2010 or as contracts allow.
NYCO Raises Wollastonite Prices
June 16, 2010 - NYCO Minerals Inc of Willsboro, NY has announced that effective August 1, 2010, it will raise the prices for all wollastonite products produced at its operations in New York and Sonora by 6-8%.
FMC Increases Soda Ash Off-List Prices
May 24, 2010 - FMC Wyoming Corp of Philadelphia, PA has announced that effective July 1, 2010, or as contracts permit, it will increase off-list prices by US$10/ton for all grades of soda ash. The increase applies to both bulk and packaged products. List prices remain unchanged.
Rio Tinto Hikes Talc Prices
May 7, 2010 - Rio Tinto Minerals of Denver, CO has announced an 8% price increase, effective June 1, 2010, for talc products from its North American operations. The company says the increase will offset the continuous rise in mining, processing, packaging and transportation costs.
Rockwood Increases Pigment Prices
May 3, 2010 - Rockwood Color Pigments & Services of Beltsville, MD has announced a global price increase of 5-10%, effective June 10, 2010, for iron oxides (synthetic and natural), carbon blacks, chromium oxide greens, and specialty pigment types.
DuPont Announces Pigment Price Increase
April 30, 2010 - DuPont Titanium Technologies (DTT) of Wilmington, DE has announced a price increase for all Ti-Pure titanium dioxide grades sold in North America. Effective June 1, 2010, or as permitted by contract, prices in the U.S. and Canada will increase by US$0.08/lb.
